All In a Day's Pony Work

The Pony had another photo to share when he got home from work on Wednesday.

"Here, Mom. I'll let you guess first. Can you see what's wrong in this picture? Don't say it out loud. Dad will probably know exactly what it is."

"Um... HERE?" I pointed to the rim, which I believed was bent.

"No comment. Now I'll show Dad."

"The steel belt is showing! It's eat its way through the rubber."

"Yep! That's it!

"Did you DRIVE it like that?"

"Uh huh. All day."

"It probably made your steering wheel jerk and wobble."

"It did."

"Good thing you didn't drive that out on the highway! You could've had a blowout."

No word on whether that LLV will be removed from the rotation for repairs.

  1. Giddy up, Pony! He must be working overtime to wear out the belt.

    1. The Pony has been fortunate to have a hold on his current route, so he gets the same one every day until a regular bids on it and takes over. That's coming up pretty soon. Anyhoo... The Pony has only been working about 9.5 hours a day on this route, instead of 12.

He can't really take credit for the tire wearage, since he doesn't get the same LLV every day.

  2. I did see what looked like a gouge in the tire along with the dented rim.

    1. The Pony acted like the dented rim was nothing. Either he didn't notice it, or it was so insignificant in the grab-bag of troubles he's encountered with the LLVs that he didn't see any point in mentioning it.

  3. Is that what those squiggly white things are on the tyre? With all the dangers he faces on a regular day, he doesn't need this as well.

    1. Yes, that's the squiggly white things. I wish I could show a video on here. There was another problem with this LLV when The Pony started it.

I'll try to figure out how to do that. I know how, but the problem will be if I can get it received and loaded, with our slow slow internet.

  4. I had that happen once. It's scary for sure!
Val, you never told us about the games played at your sister's house for the Christmas holiday that I remember.
Surely, that's a story to tell.

    1. It must be a nightmare for The Pony, because he was assigned the SAME LLV today!

    2. Thank you! I remember seeing the prizes, but missed out on the games played. Looks and sounds like a lot of fun was had by all. I think I might do this with my family next year.

    3. They are simple games that can bring out the competitive (or cheating) sides of people! Lots of laughs from the silliness.
