Val's COIN Quest Ramps Down This Week

Not much joy in Future Pennyillionaire Fortuneville, but at least Val didn't strike out.
MONDAY, July 18, was my lucky day. Guess where I found my minute thrill. On Liquor Store Hill! Or at least on the little concrete ramp that leads up to the door. I saw it on the way in, but some do-gooder had to hold the door open for me, so I could not in all politeness stop and take two pictures while making him wait!
Of course I took time to harvest that meager crop on my way out. Thankfully no other weirdo nobody else wanted a Liquor Store penny that day!

It was a heads-up 1974 penny, enticing the best out of my phone camera. I was quite optimistic after this find on Monday, but my luck dried up like a quick rain shower on our gravel road during these 100-degree days.

That's 1 COIN this week, for 1 CENT towards Val's Future Pennyillionaire Fortune!

  1. I cashed in a lottery scratcher of 3 bucks. Asked for a mega ticket, so I should have received a dollar. Clerk gave me a ticket and six bucks. I don't know what happened. She didn't want to debate it.

    1. I don't know either, unless the scanner said it was actually a $9 or $10 winner instead of $3. In which case your change would STILL have been wrong! I don't know any game with an $8 winner.

Twice in one week, clerks at different stores told me winners were LESS THAN what they should have been. Like they said, there's no arguing with the scanner. That's what they have to redeem them for.

Granted, both of those tickets were The Pony's, and I was going on the amount he had written on the back as the winning amount. You'd think a postal worker would be better with numbers! I always scan mine on my MOLottery phone app, so I know what my winners are going to read when scanned.
