One is the loneliest number Val has ever viewed. But it's better than being all alone without a single weekly penny. SATURDAY, April 3, after a hard day in the kitchen preparing the Easter feast... I escaped to procure my magical elixir. And of course some scratchers. Which I nabbed at the Liquor Store. Well, lookie there! A PENNY in almost the same place as LAST Saturday's Liquor Store penny.
The Liquor Store has got it goin' on! Pardon the skewed, off-balance ship-deck view.
It was a heads-up 1976 penny. Our bicentennial year! My VALEDICTORIAN year!
I am trying not to hang out at the Liquor Store on Saturdays. It doesn't seem fitting. I was just there on Friday (yesterday). You know I'll be wondering if there was a penny waiting for me if I don't go today.
Not a trend I hope to continue, but that's 1 PENNY this week, for 1 CENT towards my Future Pennyillionaire Fortune.

Would it be mean if someone was to superglue a penny on the walk at your favorite store?
ReplyDeleteJust asking for a friend.
Mean? What kind of PSYCHO would do that? Your *ahem* FRIEND must be some kind of psycho...
DeleteA penny glued to the ground would send me to my crying closet as soon as I got home! After a good cry, I might return with a pry-bar and some solvent.
One is better than none. Or in the words of my mother, "every little bit helps" said the parson as he peed into the sea.
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh! Never heard that one before!
