A Unique Delivery

The Pony always documents interesting items that he is tasked with delivering. Sunday, which is package day only, he had this:

Heh, heh! I asked The Pony if it was a squid.

"No. It says it's a PIG. I don't get that. But the BEST part is the description:
NOTE- Actual product has no eyes or mouth and will not speak to you. We think."

That price! ONLY $73 for a pack of 2. I don't know about you, but if I spend that much for a drain skimmer, I expect it to have eyes and talk to me!

  2. So it captures the oily stuff and then what? you throw it away and buy more or do you wash it clean to reuse, which means washing that oily stuff right back into the drain it came out of.

    1. I'm guessing you throw it away. It has a long string on it to pull it back out. That's what it looks like in the picture. The Pony had to cut off the rest of it, because of the address. So maybe it told what to do with it on the box.

  3. I'm thinking an investment in Dawn liquid detergent would be as useful and less yucky. Hope you're feeling better.

    1. But Dawn doesn't have eyes and a mouth! You have to put it on a cute baby duck. Not saying that you should drop the baby duck into the oily water!!!

  4. Just more stuff to sell the unwitting public. Throw it away and buy more, the American way. So the oily gunk ends up in a landfill instead of your drain? Vinegar and baking soda could take care of it a lot cheaper! Like the pony, I like the disclaimer about the eyes and mouth and speaking to you. You know it is there because some idiot complained!

    1. Vinegar and baking soda? Wouldn't that be like putting a science fair volcano in your drain?

Yes, I'm sure somebody complained about false advertising with the eyes and mouth!

    2. The chemical reaction eats all that gunk and washes it down the drain.

    3. So you could douse that mute PIG Skimmer Squid with vinegar and baking soda, and then use it again to soak up future oil, and repeat the process. For that person The Pony delivered the PIG Skimmer Squid to.
