Now on Exhibit in the Sword Shack

Hick was thinking of The Pony while at the auction Friday night. Unfortunately, we didn't know that, thanks to my hand-me-down Genius phone. It's been cantankerous lately. It will go all day at school, not gathering my emails. Then once I get home, there are 10 or 15 waiting. I know it's not my gmail. Because if I check it on a computer, the messages come right up at the time they were sent.

So...Friday night, in my dark basement lair, I switched from my Val email to my real email, and saw that Hick had sent me a message:

"Tell Pony 2 swords and a shield 33.00"

A picture came with it:

I'm not sure about those boxer shorts and sweatpants and chamber pot looking things in the background! But by the time I got that email on my New Delly, it still had not shown up on my phone. 30 minutes had elapsed. I hoped the bidding wasn't over.

I showed The Pony, and asked if he wanted them. He picked up my hand-me-down Genius phone and sent Hick a text:

"Pony wants tgemv"

"Pony wants what"

"He typed that. He said he wants them"

"I got them"

Yeah. Hick has his stubby finger on the pulse of The Pony when it comes to medieval memorabilia reproductions.

The Sword Shack is getting fuller every Friday.

  1. I loved these sorts of things when I was younger and still have a few swords.

    1. I know a guy who can build you a special shed for them...

  2. When Hick has accumulated so much **ap, enough to fill up all the shacks/outbuildings, you guys will have to buy more land.

(Maybe the tour will have to involve a tram that goes from building to building...)

    1. He's working on the house 10 acres right now, then we have 10 acres right next to it, on which Hick has gotten a start with his two freight containers that are destined to become a garage/workshop. Just waiting for a dry day to pour some concrete footings.

THEN, when those combined 20 acres are full, we have another 10 acres up on the hill, where we sold our not-retirement-nest-egg rocks.

Yes. I think a tram will be necessary. I might hide in the woods, and jump out with a pop gun and fake-rob it...

  3. Is there anything Hick DOESN'T collect--& build a building for?

    1. Yes. That would be my writing. When I asked for a writing shack, he told me to go look at the pre-built sheds at Lowe's.

  4. What man (or woman) doesn't need a sword?? Mine Zena sword takes pride of place and I have fond memories of wrestling that 6 year old for it last Summer. Sadly mine is only plastic, Pony's is SO much better but mine IS very swishy even if I can't actually chop anyone's head off with it.

    1. As far as I know, The Pony has no plans for head-chopping. Nor have I seen him swish. He mainly likes to take the sword out of its case-y thingy, and stroke it, showing anyone who will look. Then he puts it away until he wants to send a picture of it to somebody.

Let the record show that he has not yet wrestled a 6-year-old for a sword. I cannot vouch for Hick.
