Val is being Evened by Steven this week, for last week's avarice and gluttony! No coins on the horizon. Val's Future Pennyillionaire Fortune will have to subsist on last week's harvest of two DIMES.
With no coins to entertain you, I present Hick's bingo prize from the Senior Center:
I texted Hick back: "You'll look very pretty in your new skirt!"
Heh, heh! Am I the only one who remembers the Designing Women episode where Bernice wore a tree skirt [YouTube, 1:39] to the Christmas party?
Anyhoo... sorry for the lack of pennies this week. It hurts ME more that it hurts YOU!

Wow! A $5.00 prize for Hick? That's something for him to celebrate. I was just noticing this morning that your dime count is looking good against the dime count for 2021 and who knows what the remainder of this year will bring:)
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh! It was probably marked way down from the $5. Most people don't expect to win a Christmas tree skirt in July! Seems like the dimes are feast or famine. I still have almost half a year, so it's looking good.
DeleteThe cupboard was bare this week? . I didn't remember that episode. I loved those ladies.
ReplyDeleteYes. Val's Future Pennyillionaire Fortune is the new Mother Hubbard! I loved that show, but it looks very dated now. Still makes me laugh, though.
DeleteI have never seen Designing Women, perhaps it wasn't shown out here. I like the tree skirt.
ReplyDeleteIt was a half-hour sitcom, a long time ago in the 80s. Hilarious, but kind of preachy sometimes.
DeleteSorry about no pennies. That was a hilarious clip. Maybe you can alter the skirt for hick. That looks like a fifty-cent prize this time of year. But, Christmas will be here soon enough.
ReplyDeleteThe pennies will flow again. Just like neither a losing streak nor a winning streak continues indefinitely. As for altering Hick's skirt, my talent consists mainly of jabbing him with straight pins!
DeleteHick is thrilled with his bingo "price" as he still refers to them by text. Not sure of his plans for it, but it does not fit with our kitchen decor like his last "prices."
