Hick came home from the auction Saturday night, all excited.
"You should see the knives I got! I paid $3 apiece for them, and I'll sell them for $8. There are 10, so I paid $30, and I can make $80. That's a $50 profit!"
"Yeah. That's a good deal. They're good-looking knives."
Here they are, laid out for sale in front of Hick's Storage Unit Store. I like that big bobber in the background. I think it's a cooler.
Pretty cool. I wonder what he's asking for it.
There used to be a knife show on TV late at night...might still be, they sold knifes, swords and axes. A batch of like 20 knives, two swords, an ax or two, a vegimatic, and a Popiels pocket circumcision tool all for $19.99. Such a good deal I almost called in and ordered, but I didn't need a circumcision tool.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen that knife show. I guess my late night TV viewing is not as refined as yours. I once bought a Popiel's Pocket Fisherman thingy, but not off TV. I found it at Walgreens, and gave it to The Veteran. He likes gadgets, and is outdoorsy.
DeleteI remember a knife commercial where they had Ginsu knives and sawed through a Coke can and then sliced a tomato. It was probably a hard storebought tomato, not one like you could grow on your special tomato plant.
Those are very nice looking knives, decorated and in matching boxes. I wonder if someone would buy them all as a set? I would if I was a knife person.
ReplyDeletejoeh, you could have sold on the circumcision tool and kept the rest, what a bargain.
I could imagine someone buying one of each kind as a set. Joeh could have kept it, and started a hobby business on the side!
DeleteWho wouldn't want a circumcision tool? Just think what a conversation starter that would be.
DeleteWhy do I have a feeling you might consider using it for revenge?
