Hick has been sick with a cold. Now Old Buddy has it too. And ME! But on Wednesday, Hick and Old Buddy tore off the decrepit back porch area of Bargain House, our newest flip project. In case you've forgotten how it looked, here's a refresher:
In true Hick photography fashion, his picture sent to show me his progress was taken from far away. With the subject almost an afterthought:
I suppose he remembered after he was driving away. I can't imagine he parked SilverRedO this distance from Bargain House when he and Old Buddy were there to work. It's not like they need extra steps for exercise. Or that the street was filled with other parkers there to watch the festivities.
Here, I've tried to zoom in for you:
Bargain House is already looking better! Still a long way to go. I think Hick plans to close in part of the back porch for a laundry room.
I thought perhaps the project was done, since you hadn't give us an update. My, lots of work to do. I would closing in the porch, with windows.
ReplyDeleteWe closed on the property December 18. Even Hick can't flip a house in six weeks. Especially with below zero temps and ice/snow on the ground since January 4. It just melted completely this week.
DeleteWindows are expensive. Not necessary in a laundry room. Hick is leaving part of the porch open, for activities such as sitting in a lawn chair to watch kids/pets play in the yard, or maybe have a grill.
A laundry room is essential in my opinion. The second picture isn't too far away, it gives an idea of the amount of land around the house, so that's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteHick didn't work on the land, so no need for him to show that off. The closer view shows that Hick tore out the rotten wood, and replaced boards along the roof, and the supports.
