With Hick's favorite auction having been shut down for quite some time now, due to divorce and subsequent battle for custody of "little auction," his go-to venue for junk is Goodwill. Yes, Hick also shops for his clothing there. But mainly, he goes to look for treasures. He went last night, in fact. And I heard about it this morning.
"This has never happened to me before. But I was in Goodwill last night, with about 20 minutes left 'til closing, and the lady came out of the back room and said, 'NEW CART!' I went over to see what she had, and there was a bunch of MASON JARS! I got blah blah blah blah blah blah..."
Yeah. I was kind of listening. Whoop-ti-freakin'-do. Hick bought some Mason jars at Goodwill. This afternoon, I guess he was still talking. He sent me a picture of his haul.
Looks like he treated himself to a cake plate lid and some tins as well. But focusing on the jar haul, he said, "One of my best finds at Goodwill 6 jars about $40.00 worth for $12.00."
I'm sure he would be crushed to hear that he might have talked the price down even more. Hick even negotiates with furniture salesmen in the middle of the showroom floor. I don't see any reason to tell him. For a while, anyway.
