The Pony sent me a text on Saturday:
"This has been here for almost a week!"
In keeping with the sentiments of mail carriers on an unofficial Reddit thread, where they often show odd items left in mailboxes, and suspect they are being baited by higher-ups to see if they are honest, I replied:
"Not today, Postal Inspector!"
"Or yesterday! Or Thursday!"
"Heh, heh. Probably waiting for a weed delivery."
"That was my guess! $20 won't get them anything good though."
"They might be on a budget."
"It would barely get you a bag of oregano in high school."
Let the record show that The Pony is not one to pocket money found in mailboxes.
Postal inspectors entrap people? I did not know oregano was a drug.
ReplyDeletePart of their job is to weed out ne'er-do-wells within the system. Of course oregano is not a drug. It is used by unscrupulus drug dealers, (heh, heh, as opposed to scrupulous drug dealers) to get money from people who THINK they are buying drugs.
DeleteI thought I was really behind on drug knowledge. I don't know much, but oregano would be something. I would be afraid of drug dealer wares because I would not know what else was in it.
DeleteThat's how they make their money, by cutting corners cutting the drugs with something else. It's not like they care what happens to their buyers.
DeleteHa Ha, Oregano. I've heard unscrupulous dealers here "cut" their product with whatever is handy, no wonder people get sick and have to be rushed to hospital.
ReplyDeleteThe Pony is smart to leave those items untouched. Including the $20
You never known what could be in something that is sold without regulations! The Pony has never been one that's tempted by money, so that $20 is safe.
